SAE International journals are indexed by a variety of services, including Emerging Sources Citation Index in the Web of Science (ISI), Scopus, Engineering Village (Ei Compendex), JSTOR Sustainability Collection, CNKI, and IET Inspec. Eliminating our dependence on event and conference papers allows the Journals to grow, improve quality, attract new authors, publish original content, and provide substantive peer review, as well as to create opportunities for authors to revise and improve their manuscripts without the deadlines associated with events. In 2019, the SAE Journals Program began publishing exclusively Direct Journal Submissions-original, high-quality content that is not available elsewhere (via conferences, for example), which were submitted directly to the Journals. Our new stream-lined processes, best practices, and workflow ensure SAE's commitment to the highest scientific publishing standards: manuscripts rigorously peer reviewed by at least three recognized experts, copyediting, optional language editing services, author page proofs, and print and online publication. Editorial Manager® is a user-friendly system for authors, reviewers, and editorial boards alike, which results in a more timely review process and allows authors to stay up to date on the status of their submitted manuscripts. for manuscript submission and double-blind peer review. The Journals use Editorial Manager® from Aries Corp.
